Dave Allen's observations about Australia . In 1963, Allen presented the highest rating TV show on Australia's Ch 9. It ended in spectacular style live on air, in only a way Allen had the audacity to do. He's one of the few Irish men to simultaneously anger the Provisional IRA  & the Catholic Church - the former warned he'd be assassinated, while the latter said he'd be denied entry at the Pearly gates!
